Massachusetts factory managers plead guilty to immigration violations

Michael Bianco, Inc., a New Bedford , Massachusetts leather-goods factory that makes backpacks for the military, saw first-hand what happens when you hire illegal labor. Two managers from the factory pleaded guilty to federal charges; the plea deals do not include jail time.
ICE radied the factory in early 2007 and detained 361 allegedly illegal workers.

Immigration raid at Agriprocessors brings downturn to Postville, Iowa

In May 2008, immigration officers from ICE raided Agriprocessors, a kosher meat processing facility in Postville, Iowa. ICE rounded up 400 illegal immigrant workers in the raid. Another 300 families left on their own for fear of being caught in the net.
